A headshot is a modern (usually digital) portrait with a close crop around the head and shoulders.
Actors in particular need at least one good headshot for their Spotlight page and to send to casting directors and to agents when they’re looking for representation.
Headshots are also used as professional profile images on social media, images used on online dating profiles, the 'about us page' on a corporate website.
